MONTH OF VOCATIONS 2014

May I take this opportunity to thank you all for your untiring prayers for priests during the year for priests. While we appreciate the gift of priests in the church, we also realize the need for more priests. Hence I invite you all to intensify the prayers for priestly vocations that God may give us Shepherds out of his own heart.
We ask God for the gift of vocations. It is our duty to awaken vocations in our families and communities; the parish, the Small Christian Community, the family. How often do we talk about vocations at these levels? Do we encourage young people in our communities and families to consider the priestly and religious vocations?
The month of July is a special month when we are called to pray for vocations. It is also an opportunity for the young members of the church to think and reflect on what way of life God may be calling them to. Dear young people do not ignore the voice of God. Listen generously to this voice and respond to it.
During the month of vocations we are also asked to contribute towards the welfare of seminarians through the annual seminary collection. We thank you very much for your generosity in the previous year.

How can we awaken or promote vocations;

Mary and priesthood

Before his departure from this world, the lord Jesus entrusted his flock to the motherly care of Mary. When Jesus was on the cross and she was at the foot of the cross, he said to her, “Behold your son” and to the disciple he said, “Behold your mother”(Jn 19:25- 27). The disciple represented the church and this means that Mary is the mother of the church. All Christians are therefore called to embrace Mary as their mother because she plays an irreplaceable role in Christian faith of giving birth to Christ. If we entrust the future of our life of faith to Mary our mother, we can be sure that no burden will be more than what we can bear. It is enough for us to dedicate our future to Mary and then face it with courage and hope.
   

Mary plays a greater role to the lives of the priests than that of the lay faithful. This I say because in the strict sense she is the mother of all the priests. In actual fact there is only one priest, Christ. All the other priests are partakers in the mission of Christ. This means that all the priests are priests in THE PRIEST, they are pastors IN THE PASTOR and they are shepherds IN THE SHERPERD. Jesus Christ is the only PRIEST, PASTOR and SHERPERED, of which all the other priests take part in the mission of Christ. Mary is the mother of Christ. To a greater extent, she is the mother of all the priests. In as much as Mary was present in the whole life of Christ, she is also present in the lives of all the priests. In as much as Mary played a vital role in forming Christ, she also plays the same role in the formation of priests. In as much as Mary was present at Christ’s suffering, crucifixion and death, she is also present in the sufferings faced by priests.
  

The role that Mary played in the life of Christ is an invitation to all the priests and all those priests to be to inculcate their devotions to her. The importance of the devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary is to glorify God and to lead priests to commit themselves to a life that conforms to His will. Mary plays a pivotal role in the life of priests, particularly her intercessory role as presented at the wedding at Cana. Therefore, praying the Rosary and the Angelus reminds us that in her total submission to the will of God, Mary remains a model and an inspiration. The most significant role of Mary and that which motivates priests to be devoted to her is that She “…prays for us sinners now and at the hour of death.” To a larger extent, Mary plays the role of a spiritual mother, that is, she is an intercessor, mediator, consoler, shoulder to lean on, etc. this is an encouragement to all priests and priests to be to inculcate their devotion to Mary by reciting the rosary, angelus or regina caeli.

            Kuti tuzwidilile munzila yesu yabupayizi, twelede kuba bantu batakakozye kukambawuka mulumbe waLeza. Iswe tomaSeminarian, tupendwe chindi chakwiya zyiyo zisiyene siyene kuchikolo.  Tupedwe chimwi chindi chakulibalila atulike. Ezi zitupa mwenya wakuti tubone awo pututanvwisisisi tubuzye mibuzyo kulabo bazibusongo bazi.
            Tomaseminarian tuyelede kuba bana balamulawo batakabe mbabo batakayisye bamwi bana akuba tondenzya nzila  ilinjiyo iyelende kwendwa abana maKristo. Mupayizi ulatulanga, ulatugwasya kutelela kapati Bantu balazyuno zipati musondo yaKristu.
            Cakumanisizya mubusyonto, iSeminary nindawo awo putwelede kukazyana kabotu awumwi awumwi muSeminarian. Ezi zitu zichita kuti tube Bantu balemeka, bayandana. Iseminary, nindawo yankombyo, kwiya zyiyozisiyene akutelela abobalajulu lyesu.
   
            Kufumbwa wayitwa kuliLeza kuti amubelekele ulasala kuti ulamubelekela bieni. Oyo wasala kuba mupayizi uswanana abanwi muSeminary.
Oyo wayanda kuba mupayizi ulipeda buumi bwakwe boonse kuli zyakukomba Leza. Ulalipeda kuba  bumi bwakufwaba  akulifwisya kiliLeza akulibamwi. Nkabela  kuli chiindi chakukomba abuzuba abuzuba  achiindi chakubeleka.
            Kulasungwazingwa kuti ujate kabotu zintu nzwajana muSeminary azintu zyabamwi bananyokwe. Abuzuba kulichindi chakubala magwalo awaambula atala abamwi basante.
            Umwi awumwi ulagwasigwa mulusyomo lwakwe amukwitwa kwakwe kwinda muzyiyo, mukukomba  amukubeleka.

IMPILO YOMFANA/IJAHA ELIFUNA UKUBA NGUMPRISTI

Umseminarian kumele akwazi ukubana akusinsuku zatshwala engagcotshwanga waba ngumPristi. Ngalokhu-ke kumele azilungiselele ngokupheleleyo. Laye phela umlimi kameleli ukuba lize lidume engatshayanga inenje, wafaka umquba walungisa lamajogwe. Ngokufanayo umseminarian kumele azilungiselele, ikakhulu ngokuzama ngamandla akhe wonke ukuba yena lalowo ombizayo babengamathe lolimi. Lokho kungenxa yokuthi njengomPristi umseminarian uzabe esekhangelelwa ukuba anike abantu uKristo. Kodwa phela angeke aphe lokho angelakho. Kulomutsho othi:  “Ukwehluleka ukuzilungiselela yikuzilungisela ukwehluleka.” Ngalokhu singathi ukwehluleka isikhthi esinengi kudalwa yikungazilungiseleli. MAGALILO OKUMAZOWE PRE-MAJOR SEMINARY

Mimwe yemishingo yatinota ndiyo yeyi: kuchigayo; kulela ihuku kana ingulube; kuchenesa zwimbuzi; kuyembela ingombe; kubhika; kuchenesa akale mungumba yaMwali; kulima inchelela.
                                                                                                Mizano yebhola inotiwa  noBwabili, Bwachina, noNgibelo akale neNsondo. Tosoba nemizano masikati tili togatoga; kojoba amwe amazhuba tosozana nabamwe bomubugalo akale namabamwe bokunejimwe indawo jilosiyanasiyana.
